Parents,

It's been a SUPER first week of land practices for the Brittany Barracudas! There have been so many smiles, new friends made, and lots of sweat! Thanks to all of you who have been able to come out for some early summer fun. 

Tonight will be our last land practice of the week, and of course, we'll have the food truck to celebrate with Mexican food for Cinco De Mayo (bring your own drinks!). Food truck will be on-site at the club from 5-8pm.

Next week (week of 5/9), we'll proceed with another M-Th week of land practice with more games and conditioning at the Brittany field. We will also offer New Parent meetings on a couple of evenings (more to come on exact evenings).

We will start in-pool practice on Monday, 5/16. Your child can wear any swimsuit they want for these practices. They should bring goggles and a towel, too. Swim cap is optional. Until we officially switch to our summer schedule on 5/31, the in-pool practices will follow the same land practice evening schedule. 

There is a practice swim meet at the Brittany Club against Hampton Hall on Sunday, 5/22 at 2pm (arrive by 1pm for warm ups). This is a great way for younger competitive swimmers and their parents to get a feel for how a swim meet works, but all age groups are invited. This will be an abbreviated meet, so it should only last about 90 mins. 

Below are the ages & times. Practices are only on Mon-Thurs.

Land Practice & In-Pool Schedule M-Th:

6 & under: 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.

7 & 8: 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.

9 & 10: 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.

11 & over: 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.

We will distribute team shirts, bags, swim caps and other swag again tonight at the field. Even if your child can't attend practice, it would be great if a parent could swing by or a neighbor who will be down at the field could pick up and bring to you. Please coordinate appropriately.
